DA 10-17 fisheye... at 17.

and my favorite of the batch:

DA 50-200.

I took the 43 with me but used it on only one picture that didn't work very well. Who needs normal?

  1. Nice color on that last one, would have been stunning at a closer magnification, but still sweet. I don't know if it is the gear or your processing, but I am always impressed with how nice your colors are without being velvia over saturated. It is a very hard look to achieve on Canon gear and software, since the options are pretty much dull or over saturated. In particular, the blues are always very nice. Canon does green and red well, but blue is always a struggle if it isn't very deep or very light.

You also have a really good eye for color on small objects.

  2. It's the system, I guess - I did absolutely nothing to that shot. In fact, that's the "normal" or flat in-camera curve, not that Lightroom 2.7 knows what that means, necessarily.

I may have to submit that one to DNR for the calendar contest.

In other news, Captain Kirk is climbing a mountain on my TV.
