Today

I don't mean to alarm you, and I don't have anything other than this to post...

but today...

I saw a delmarva fox squrrel. It was somewhere between Rt. 18 after Kent Island and the 50/404 intersection. I've never seen such a large ash-colored squirrel before!

  1. Nat,

The DNR reporting form for rare animal sightings is at: http://www.dnr.state.md.us/wildlife/reportinginst.asp

Even though you don't have a precise location, I'm sure they'd appreciate a heads up.

  2. I got a precise location Tuesday - Skipton Creek, the hill leading down into the little depression there. Saw it (or a different one) again.

We also saw one on the road out to Blackwater, but I suppose that won't surprise anyone.

Speaking of that - I am exporting photos to JPEG right now; tomorrow, I'll album them and upload. Things have been going kind of slowly, but I'm working on it.
