You know, that seems to be a place lots of cats like to go, when not full of water. Maybe they interpret it as a source of fresh water. Or maybe there are a lot more spiders down that drain than any of us ever imagined...
For him, he definitely goes in for the water. He'll stand in there and drink for five or six minutes and then something will freak him out and he'll go running out of the bathroom. As much as he likes the water, I guess it makes him feel really vulnerable.
